Public Restroom

Ok, this is for all the guys out there who can’t keep the restroom clean. It has been bad enough for 28 years that every time I go to a public restroom I have to stand in someone elses piss while I go because someone before me was either oblivious to the fact that they dripped all over their shoes or they were just too dinky wang to make it hang over the toilet (or urinal). But now I have a 3 year old boy who goes to the big potty and pulls his pants down to his ankles to do so, thus making his pants get piss on them. Some toilets are a little tall for him too, so I either have to hold him up or let him stand on my feet, both of which make my own pants vulnerable to being soiled by foreign piss. To sum it up please piss in the toilet, make sure you drip it in the toilet, and if you’re too dinky to hang it out far enough it’s ok, shrinkage happens to all guys at certain moments (some more permanent than others), but if you can’t keep the piss in the toilet then you need to sit down like a lady.

My Kids Are Growing Up

Devin & Skyler are growing up so fast. Devin is signed up for soccer and Skyler is taking dance lessons. I’m going to coach the soccer, but we’ll leave the dance to someone more skilled in that area. Devin will be 4 in September and Skyler will be 3 in October. It seems like just yesterday they were tiny babies. I feel like I’m getting old, but in all reality I’m still young to have a 3 and 4 year old. When I was a teenager I had in my mind that I would have kids young enough that I could still play around with them when they got big enough to do stuff. I never knew it would really happen, but it did. Now I just pray that I’ll stay this healthy in 10 years when they start getting better than me at stuff. Anyway, life is good but it flies by. Hope you enjoy your kids as much as I’m trying to…

Exercise Planning Strategy

I’ve been working to get back in the kinda shape I need to be in and recently got the following tips from Men’s Health:
1. Plan your workouts in advance.
Schedule your workouts for the month on a calendar, and cross them off as you complete each one. Aim to do at least three per week. If you skip any of your scheduled workouts, carry them over to the next month.
2. Start a streak.
Try to set a personal record for doing consecutive, daily workouts without a miss. You’ll work out more intensely on some days, of course – but make it your goal to put in at least a minimum amount of effort every day. Then … see how long you can keep it up. When your streak ends, set a longer mark as your next goal.

Getting Serious About Having Fun At Work!

Have you laughed today?

We know, sometimes it is difficult to be able to laugh, what with all the work on our desk tops (or computer screens), the pressures of deadlines, the ineffectiveness of some colleagues, the demands on our personal lives . . . sometimes it’s all too much, or at least too much for us to laugh.

On the other hand, the problem with business is that oftentimes it’s too serious. We’d be better off if we followed the example of angels. Do you know why angels fly? Because they don’t take themselves too seriously . . . they take themselves lightly.

Okay, maybe that wasn’t very funny, but you get the point, don’t you? Humor . . . laughter . . . fun, they are all important!

How can we be so sure? Well, here are three areas where humor can have an impact on you today:
1. Using humor can actually increase productivity! Robert Half International conducted a survey of 100 vice presidents of major corporations. The study revealed that 84% thought employees with a sense of humor performed better than people with little or no sense of humor. Don’t get real, get funny!

2. Your sense of humor may advance your career. In another study of 737 CEOs, 98% said they would hire a person with a good sense of humor over someone who lacks a sense of humor.

3. Humor can improve your business relationships. Customers like people they feel comfortable around. . .and people buy from people they like. Using humor can make people feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease.
In addition to these three reasons, humor and laughter reduce stress!

Try it. Smile right now. Feel better? Okay, how about a good laugh:
Did you hear about the coin collectors who got together for old dime’s sake? . . . and by the way, did you know there are three types of people in this world: those who can count and those who can’t?
As Erma Bombeck once said, laughter will keep you regular!

One last point of information. Never suppress laughter. A recent medical study found that if you suppress laughter, the laughter reverses itself, moves back into your body, and spreads your hips!

Smile — just for the health of it!
